The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet makes comprehensive, up-to-date information accessible to people interested in the health of Indigenous Australians. It provides a range of resources. Effective use of the internet - keeping professionals working in rural Australia
A report for the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation, this study considers the extent and nature of professional isolation in rural and remote regions of Australia (specifically Queensland and Western Australia) and examines professionals’ use of the internet to support their professional development needs. It draws upon survey and interview data from 10 professions, and makes conclusions and recommendations based on the views and experiences of over 1200 respondents.

Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health
SARRAH provides services to enable Allied Health Professionals who live and work in rural and remote areas of Australia to confidently and competently carry out their Professional duties in providing a variety of health services.
Sustainable Farm Families
Sustainable Farm Families (SFF) is an initiative of Western District Health Service, Hamilton, and delivered in partnership with the Victorian Department of Primary Industries, with the support of other agencies. The SFF program aims to improve the physical and mental health of farmers and their families. SFF covers a range of areas including coping with stress and depression, farm safety, cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, women and men’s health, nutrition and exercise.
The Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria (RWAV)
The Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria provides support for the recruitment and retention of rural general practitioners in Victoria. The website provides access to relevant information, assistance and support for those seeking to practice, or already practicing medicine in rural Victoria.
The Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA)
The Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA) represents the interests of the public health care sector in Victoria. Its members include public hospitals, health services and community health services. The VHA run a number of rural specific programs and events including Rural Health Week, held late May each year.
University Departments of Rural Health
The University Departments of Rural Health (UDRH) program encourages students of medicine, nursing and other health professions to pursue a career in rural practice by providing opportunities for students to practise their clinical skills in a rural environment. It also supports health professionals currently practising in rural settings. Links are provided to 11 University Departments of Rural Health across Australia.
