Criteria for Submissions
These criteria are a guide for your program or practice to be considered eligible for the Family Relationships Practice Profiles collection.
The program/practice has a clear focus
The program or practice should demonstrate a clear focus by having a clearly defined framework, clear aims and clear desired outcomes.
The program/practice draws on existing knowledge
The program or practice should take account of contemporary knowledge, an existing evidence base and/or practice developments in the field of family and relationships services.
Questions to consider:
- What research-based and/or practice models or programs were used to assist in the development of your program/practice? i.e. whose theories, ideas, thoughts or experiences? Our aim here is to alert others to knowledge, ideas, experiences and practices that have been successfully applied in the family relationship services setting.
- Why did you choose to draw upon these particular theories, ideas, thoughts or experiences? i.e. what was it about a particular theory, idea or practice etc that drew you to incorporate it into your program?

The program/practice contributes to existing knowledge and/or practice
The program or practice should contribute to the knowledge of ‘what works’ in family relationships services and programs. The submission should clearly explain what knowledge has been gained and how it supports, contradicts or adds to existing knowledge.
Questions to consider: - What have you learned from this program/practice that would be useful knowledge for other practitioners?
- What needed to be changed and/or modified in order for the program/practice to work as expected?
- Program/project staff are contactable (NOTE: this criterion is compulsory)
Those submitting their programs or practices to the database must provide contact details and be willing to be contacted by others in relation to the practice or program.
