Family Relationships Practice Profiles
The Australian Family Relationships Clearinghouse (AFRC) is developing a collection of profiles on family relationships practices. By providing this collection the Clearinghouse aims to share information between different service providers, practitioners and organisations, to improve understanding of and responses to family and relationship issues. The Family Relationships Practice Profiles collection will be made available for public access on this website.
Profiles can include entire programs or any number of practices within programs. Profiles may relate to programs and/or practices conducted throughout Australia that would be of interest to other service providers or practitioners. This may include past and present training initiatives, community awareness strategies, services that target particular groups or any other examples of interesting or innovative practice.
Criteria for submissions
For your practice to be accepted into the collection there are a number of criteria that need to be considered. The criteria have been designed to promote clarity and consistency of information and ensure that profiles are useful to other family relationships practitioners.
Practices in the database should also be consistent with the current aims of the Family Relationships Services Program (FRSP). The FRSP aims to:
- enable children, young people and adults in all their diversity to develop and sustain safe, supportive and nurturing family relationships; and
- minimise the emotional, social and economic costs associated with disruption to family relationships.
What is the process for submissions?
Submissions will be accepted during the following rounds:

| Round 5 | February 2 – April 10, 2009 |

Once submissions have been received and reviewed, a response on suitability for publication will be provided. If further information is required, AFRC staff will discuss this with the contact person. Please contact the Clearinghouse for any
