The ‘Working with Men’ Kit is especially designed to support organisations that work with men and family relationships. It provides a variety of resources for establishing a male-friendly environment and also psychoeducational group work programs for men.
Program description
- The kit assists organisations to appraise their own policies and practices about working with men.
- Provide organisations with a basic set of resources for the further development of services for men (including fathers’ information booklets, set of 10 posters, group leader manuals for both a general fathers’ group and a separated fathers’ group.)
- A comprehensive report on the operation of a UnitingCare Burnside Fathers’ Support Service in Western Sydney, and journal articles about developing ‘leading edge’ practice for working with men.
The kit contains:
- 10 A3 posters with positive images of fathers
- 50 copies of “Kids Need Dads Who…” Booklets
- ’Hey, Dad!’ for Separated Fathers Manual
- ’Facing the Challenge- Fathering Today Group Work Manual
- Fatherhood CD - 19 contemporary songs promoting fathering
- A checklist for agencies working with men, & several articles about working with men
