AIFS EPUB publications
A selection of Institute publications are being made available in EPUB 2.0 format. EPUB is an open standard format managed by the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF).
The Institute’s EPUBs are best viewed using iBooks on the iPad. However, the EPUBs are free of digital rights management (DRM) restrictions and therefore may be read using any software or hardware that is capable of opening EPUB 2.0 files.

EPUBs can be read using a wide range of software, including:
- desktop computers:

E-Ink readers
Most dedicated E-Ink readers can also recognise the EPUB format, including:
- Barnes & Noble Nook;
- Kobo eReader; and
- Sony Reader.
Note that the Amazon Kindle does not currently recognise the EPUB format.
Web-based e-readers
Finally, EPUBs can be read using a variety of website services, including:

Note: The e-book industry is changing rapidly, with new software, hardware and standards emerging regularly. AIFS recommends searching the Web for “epub readers” for the most up-to-date information.
