Data workshops
The focus of the workshop is to assist users of the data, those considering becoming users, or those who are interested in learning more about LSAC data, to gain confidence in understanding and navigating the LSAC datasets.
The Workshop will cover the following topics:
- Study methodology
- Introduction to the LSAC datasets
- Data analysis issues (ie Confidentialisation, weighting, clustering etc.)
- Variable naming
- User resources (including data dictionary)
- Specific item problems (e.g. educational program, parental height)
- Outcome Index
- Time Use Diary
The needs of the registrants for this workshop will be taken into account, where possible, in designing the program. We are investigating the use of computer labs and also the feasibility of running some parallel sessions for new and more experienced researchers.
