(a) Formal qualifications include early childhood related teaching, outside school hours care specific courses, primary teaching, nursing (including Mothercraft Nursing), a Basic Child Care Certificate (one year), a Child Care Certificate or Associate Diploma (2 years), a Diploma or Degree in Child Care (3 years or more), or other qualification relevant to the operation of a service (e.g. Accountancy, Psychology, Social Work, Business Management).
(b) Includes management/financial training, training for additional needs children, other child care related or other relevant training.
