Carol Soloff

Biography
Carol Soloff is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute and has worked on all aspects of Growing Up in Australia, the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children, since July 2002. Carol provided significant input to the study design and has worked with the data collection agencies and other stakeholders on instrument development, fieldwork processes and data collection.
Carol is currently working as Project Manager for two major studies at the Institute: the "Pathways of Care" project, a longitudinal study for children in out-of-home care in New South Wales, and the National Research Study on the Service Response to Past Adoption Experiences. Carol has recently undertaken consultations and research as part of a scoping study for a national survey of children and young people in out-of-home care.
Prior to joining the Institute, Carol had extensive experience in ABS household survey development at state and national levels as well as survey management, operations and interviewing experience, on topics such as crime and safety, volunteerism, housing and travel. Carol also worked in the ABS National Centre for Crime and Justice Statistics for several years. During her career with the ABS Carol had involvement with a wide range of social statistics collections as well as in the provision of statistical consultancy services.
