INFORMATION SHEET 4 - WORKING TOGETHER
ETHICAL PROTOCOL BETWEEN SFLEX AND SFF PROJECTS
Please note - In most Stronger Families Fund Project contracts, including the contract between AIFS and Family and Community Services (FaCS), all data created and collected in our projects is finally owned by FaCS.
In our work together we will collaborate to collect and develop material. The reasons for this are:
To provide opportunities
to think about the work of your project and make any changes that may be needed.
To tell other people about
the work projects are doing through written materials, photographs and websites.
To develop action research
resources to share with other projects and the wider community
As part of our work we also need to work with you to develop a deeper understanding about the Stronger Families Fund projects as a whole. This may include:
Work that has been useful
in supporting families in different projects.
Identifying problems encountered
by projects.
Exploring how useful action
research is as a resource for projects.
In relation to our work together, SFLEX will:
Work with you to create
materials and develop a shared understanding of what they mean.
Fully inform you about all
materials that are created and collected for the wider analysis
Obtain permission before
materials are made public.
Respect the confidentiality
of everyone involved.
WORKING WITH THE STRONGER FAMILIES LEARNING EXCHANGE
The Training and Support Team of the Stronger Families Learning Exchange will work with each SFF project to ensure that the project team develops research processes that are ethically sound and to ensure that any evaluation work meets ethical standards.
Often really good learning and insights come from projects, yet often this is lost or not known about by others. To stop this happening, SFLEX has been asked to work with projects to develop learning from all the projects that can be documented and used in the future.
ETHICAL ISSUES TO BE CONSIDERED AND DISCUSSED BETWEEN SFLEX WORKERS AND SFF PROJECT WORKERS
Please answer:
Who has the right to give
permission in this project?
When permission for public
use is granted is this a general release or only for a specific use?
Are there particular issues
of confidentiality that need to be considered in this project or community?
What are the best ways to
feed back information between AIFS and this project?
We agree to work collaboratively with each other in accordance with these ethical guidelines.
